I live in Philadelphia as a PhD candidate at the University of Pennsylvania, creating experimental music for performers and electronics. My work connects formal and sonic aspects of recent popular music with classical performance practice and sound art. My music has been performed in the U.S. and Europe by the Daedalus Quartet, International Contemporary Ensemble (ICE), Dal Niente, Omaha Symphony, PRISM, Eastman Sinfonietta, Bearthoven, Quatuor Bozzini, and Marilyn Nonken. Additional studies include workshops and festivals such as IRCAM-ManiFeste (2018-19), RED NOTE, Time of Music-Musiikin aika, June in Buffalo, Ars Musica (BEL), MATA, American Conservatory in Fontainebleau, and residencies with the Virginia Center for the Creative Arts, Brush Creek Foundation, and ICon Arts. In 2014-15, I was a visiting scholar at the Sibelius Academy on a Jane and Aatos Erkko fellowship from the American-Scandinavian Foundation. Projects for 2018-19 include my intermedia dissertation work for mixed chamber ensemble, electronics, lighting, and video; a collaboration with visual artist Michelle Lopez and sound artist Eugene Lew; and a commission from Network for New Music.
